2021: A Message from Dr. Chris Jones
February 1st marked the start of the 47th Annual National Black History Month, a time in which we remember and reflect on the struggles, past and current, of Black lives and rejoice and celebrate in their achievements and the many advancements that have improved life for all humans. This month, we’ll be sharing with you the stories of many local Arkansans whose lives and work have made Arkansas better. I invite you to visit our social media channels or website to learn more about these individuals.
Last year, the world was shaken by a pandemic that killed millions and laid bare long-inherent inequities in our societies. We are all working from the ground up to rebuild our communities and economies, which is essential to thinking differently and building intentionally inclusive and equitable systems.
The Innovation Hub is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Arkansans by inspiring innovation and expanding opportunities. We see an Arkansas where, regardless of demographic identifiers or geographic location, Arkansans are generating and inspiring innovation in cutting-edge technology, business, and creative fields.
This year, the Hub will continue to reach Arkansans statewide through programs to expand digital literacy, improve workforce development skills, incubate entrepreneurship, and inspire innovation in K-12 students through STEAM-based educational offerings and challenges.
