Welcome Back to the Innovation Hub!

Our team has been working hard to ensure the Innovation Hub is ready to re-open. The safety of our staff and members is our top priority. To that end, we have created new check-in procedures and protocols for using the space and equipment here at the Hub. Look for new, onsite signage to help guide you through the areas of the Hub and our new procedures. At this time, we are open to members only. Find out how to become a member.

 

How to Visit the Hub

  1. Reserve space and equipment. All members should reserve meeting space, studios, or equipment via the Hub’s RecDesk platform prior to visiting the Hub. Please note that not all equipment is accessible at this time.
  2. Fill out our COVID Waiver online or when you first arrive at the Hub.
  3. Enter the Hub through the door closest to where you will work.
    1. Co-working, Ceramics, Printmaking & Screen Printing, enter via 4th Street.
    2. To use the laser cutters, CNC routers, or 3D printers, enter through the Tech Shop door facing Broadway St.
    3. To use the woodshop, enter through the shop door.
  4. Check-in with our staff once you enter the building. One of our team will also check your temperature using a touchless thermometer. 
  5. For the safety of all, please observe our guidelines, maintain physical distancing, and wear a mask at all times. Don’t have a mask? We will provide one for you to use.

Guidelines for Visiting the Hub During Arkansas Phase II Re-Opening

Co-Working Guidelines
  • Everyone is required to wear a mask inside the Innovation Hub. The Hub will provide masks for all guests.
  • Members must fill out a brief COVID-19 survey each day as they enter the Innovation Hub. This survey will be reviewed by Hub staff members and determination will be made if the individual can use the Innovation Hub.
  • Members with a fever of 100.4 or higher or showing any signs of sickness are not allowed to enter the Hub. This includes symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, shortness of breath, and sore throat. If a member becomes ill while at work, they shall leave the facility immediately.
  • We ask that any member who tests positive for COVID-19 immediately call to report the positive results. The Innovation Hub will report this information to the Human Resources Director of his or her Department. The Human Resources Director of the Department shall report this information to the Arkansas Department of Health Outbreak Response Team immediately.
  • Members must socially distance themselves at least six feet away from other employees and members.
  • The creative corner may be used for co-working, but not equipment use.
  • Only 1 person is allowed per table in co-work.
  • Reservations are required to use co-work.
  • In the event of cancellation, members must alert a staff member at least thirty minutes before their scheduled reservation. They can do this by calling the Hub or emailing memberships@arhub.org.
  • Conference room 1 is available by reservation only to our team coworking members. *Cannot be reserved for single person use.
  • The copy machine use is restricted to one person at a time and the machine must be wiped down before leaving the room. There will be a log that members and staff will fill out to indicate usage and if cleaning protocols were completed. Clorox wipes will be located in the copy room.
  • Co-workers working downstairs will use the downstairs restrooms.
  • Co-workers working upstairs will use the upstairs restrooms.
  • Co-workers must wipe down the table and chair of their occupied space they used during their time at the Hub before leaving.
  • Each table will have hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes for use.
  • Hub staff members in co-work will wipe down areas if needed and ensure proper protocol is followed.
Woodshop Guidelines
  • Shop Foreman, Adam Kittrell, must be present.
  • Everyone is required to wear a mask inside the Innovation Hub. The Hub will provide masks for all guests.
  • Members must fill out a brief COVID-19 survey each day as they enter the Innovation Hub. This survey will be reviewed by Hub staff members and determination will be made if the individual can use the Innovation Hub.
  • Members with a fever of 100.4 or higher or showing any signs of sickness are not allowed to enter the Hub. This includes symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, shortness of breath, and sore throat. If a member becomes ill while at work they shall leave the facility immediately.
  • We ask that any member who tests positive for COVID-19 immediately call to report the positive results. The Innovation Hub will report this information to the Human Resources Director of his or her Department. The Human Resources Director of the Department shall report this information to the Arkansas Department of Health Outbreak Response Team immediately.
  • Only approved Hub woodshop members may use equipment and reservations must be made in advance.
  • Members must wear the necessary safety equipment.
  • Members must socially distance themselves at least six feet away from other employees and members.
  • Only 2 members are allowed within the woodshop with Adam Kittrell, by reservation
  • In the event of cancellation, members must alert a staff member at least thirty minutes before their scheduled reservation. They can do this by calling the Hub or emailing memberships@arhub.org.
  • Members and staff using the woodshop will use the Tech Shop restrooms.
  • Proper cleaning of all tools and machinery must occur by Hub member after using the equipment and tools. Disinfectant wipes will be provided.
  • Adam Kittrell will oversee proper cleaning techniques and will wipe down any equipment or space after use if needed.
Tech Shop Guidelines
  •  Zoe Eagan-Gardner, Production Lead, must be present
  • Everyone is required to wear a mask inside the Innovation Hub. The Hub will provide masks for all guests.
  • Members must fill out a brief COVID-19 survey each day as they enter the Innovation Hub. This survey will be reviewed by Hub staff members and determination will be made if the individual can use the Innovation Hub.
  • Members with a fever of 100.4 or higher or showing any signs of sickness are not allowed to enter the Hub. This includes symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, shortness of breath, and sore throat. If a member becomes ill while at work they shall leave the facility immediately.

  • Only approved laser and 3D printer Hub members may use equipment in the Tech Shop.
  • Members may reserve the laser cutter, 3D printer, and CNC in increments of 1 hour and are limited to a 3-hour block of time.
  • Only one laser, 3D printer, and CNC may be used at a time.
  • Members must reserve equipment ahead of time. No walk-ins will be permitted.
  • Members are limited to two tech-shop reservations per week.
  • If reserving for three hours, members must reserve either the 10-1 time block or 1-4 time block. This will allow two members to schedule 3-hour time blocks. If reserving under three hours, members can reserve any time that works best for them.
  • Members must stop work ten minutes before their reservation ends to allow for proper equipment cleaning.
  • In the event of cancellation, members must alert a staff member at least thirty minutes before their scheduled reservation. They can do this by calling the Hub or emailing memberships@arhub.org
  • If a member does not show up for their reservation without canceling, the reserved time will count towards their two reservation maximum.
  • Three missed appointments will result in revocation of tech shop use privileges until the Hub has fully reopened to the public.
  • If a member wishes to 3D print over a total of four hours, they must schedule their appointment for the second half of the day so that the print can continue at night. This will help ensure that members with smaller projects will be able to use the printer as well.
  • If a member will require help when using any of the machinery, he or she must alert Zoe Eagan-Gardner ahead of time. This will prevent any conflicts that might render Zoe unavailable during the members’ scheduled time slot.
  • Members must socially distance themselves at least six feet away from other employees and members.
  • Members and staff using Tech shop equipment will use the Tech shop restrooms
  • Proper cleaning of all tools and machinery must occur by Hub member after using the equipment and tools.

Art Studio Guidelines
  • Hannah May, Education lead, must be present in the ceramic studio
  • Kendle Carter, Art Educator, must be present in the screen printing studio
  • Ceramics office hours: 10-2 pm Fridays in June & July
  • Screen Printing office hours: 10-2 pm Mondays in June & July

  • 1 member at a time in the studio with 1 Hub Staff member
  • Members are not allowed to work in the studio alone during Phase 2: This is to ensure proper distance and cleaning protocols are met.
  • Members may reserve the screen printing studio or ceramics studio in increments of 1 hour and are limited to a 3-hour block of time.
  • Members must reserve equipment ahead of time. No walk-ins will be permitted.
