Monster Mask Makers

Thursday, October 15

5-6pm | 1-Hour Workshop with kit!

Learn More

Students will learn to make their own seasonal COVID mask without the need of sewing. The Innovation Hub will use our glow-in-the-dark screen printing ink to print designs on fabric that students will use to make masks appropriate for the season.

Students will need their own scissors, ruler, and permanent marker. 

Cost: $12 for members, $18 for non-members

DIY Halloween Prop Coffin

Learn how to make your yard just a little more spooky with a prop coffin with our DIY kit. Supplies are included, but students will need some basic woodworking tools.

Printmaking: Fall Stamps

Learn to carve linoleum to create your own artwork, cards, and more!

Get familiar with the basic tools of carving as we make seasonal stamps and designs to welcome in the fall. Kits with supplies and tools for this workshop are available to rent or students may provide their own.

Cost: $10 for members, $15 for non-members
Loaner kit included.

Intro to Pottery Workshop in NLR

Design for Laser Cutting

Mondays, October 19 & 26

If you know the basics of vector design, you are ready to start creating and preparing designs for the laser cutter. This 2-week class focuses on design and theory. (No laser cutters will be used, but you will learn more about them!)

Prerequisite: Vector Design Workshop or equivalent experience. 

Cost: $25 for members, $30 for non-members
Ages: 16+

Pottery @ Home

Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21, 28

6-7pm | 4-Week Class with kit!

Learn More

Learn to make pinch pots and coil pots at home to be fired in our kiln. We’ll provide complete kits for you to pick up at the Innovation Hub to use during the course of the class. After the class, you’ll return the kit but keep the tools so that you can continuing creating at home or in the Hub’s clay studio when we reopen.

Cost: $40 for members, $50 for non-members
Loaner kit included.
Ages: 16+

Supply List:

You Hub provided kit (available on 10/5 and 10/7) will include these supplies that must be returned to the Hub:

  • a water bucket
  • a workboard
  • a rolling pin and slab sticks
  • a needle tool
  • a rib tool
  • a sponge
  • a scoring tool
  • underglaze
  • a paintbrush

You will also receive clay to make your pottery that you will bring to the Hub for firing.

Intro to Pottery Workshop in NLR

Logo Design

Mondays, October 5 & 12

Learn More

Create a logo from concept to design. You’ll start by making a mock logo based on business names provided by the instructor. By the end of this class, you’ll be ready to start working on your own business identity package!

Cost: $25 for members, $35 for non-members
Ages: 16+

Due to the diverse number of classes, workshops, summer camps and field trips we offer, we have created a cancellation policy that gives us an opportunity to fill our schedule. If you have to cancel your upcoming class, workshop, field trip or summer camp registration refunds will be given as follows: Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund, cancellations made 15-30 days in advance of the event date will receive a 50% refund, cancellations made 0-14 days within the event date will not receive any type of refund.
